About the Project Network

The project network of the Israel Center for Citizen Science provides easy access to all citizen science projects in Israel dealing with nature and the environment. This is the natural home to present, search for, and participate in citizen science projects in Israel focused on nature, biodiversity, and environmental topics.

The Network features a comprehensive directory of citizen science projects, providing basic information on each project and links to their respective websites as well as a direct mailing system for updates. It also includes a simple, user-friendly search engine that allows visitors to find projects by project type, field of interest, and more. All of this mirrors leading counterpart networks around the world (such as the German network, the French network, and SciStarter in the United States).

The Israel Center for Citizen Science invites project entrepreneurs and leaders to join our projects network. By joining the network, you can:

• Create a project page and showcase your project
• Gain exposure for your project on the Center’s website, newsletters, and social media
• Receive technical support in building your data collection system on iNaturalist, BioCollect, or ArcGIS
• Utilize resources and guides offered by the Center
• Participate in initiator meet-ups and a peer forum for mutual support (Project Leaders Forum)
• Receive additional assistance in project development and management according to the Center’s resources
