About the Project Network

Projects

The project network of the Israel Center for Citizen Science provides easy access to all citizen science projects in Israel dealing with nature and the environment. This is the natural home to present, search for, and participate in citizen science projects in Israel focused on nature, biodiversity, and environmental topics.

The network includes a comprehensive database of projects, basic information about each project with a link to its website, and a direct mailing system for receiving updates. The network also includes an easy and simple search engine that allows interested parties to find projects by project types, areas of interest, and more. All this is similar to parallel and leading networks worldwide (such as the German network, the French network and the SciStarter network in the United States).

Why Should You Add Your Project to the Network?

The Israel Center for Citizen Science invites entrepreneurs and leaders of citizen science projects to join our project network.  In the network, you can:

  • Create a project page and showcase your project
  • Gain exposure for your project on the Center’s website, newsletters, and social media
  • Receive technical assistance in building your data collection system on iNaturalist  or Biocollect
  •  Utilize resources and guides offered by the Center
  • Participate in entrepreneur meetings and peer forums for mutual support
  • Receive additional assistance in project development and management according to the Center’s resources
