Summary of National Moth Week 2025
A summary of National Moth Week 2025, which took place worldwide, including in Israel, on July 19–27.

National Moth Week took place this year globally and in Israel from July 19–27.
In preparation for the week, a webinar was held focusing on monitoring techniques—how to observe moths, photography tips, and using the iNaturalist app to record observations. During the week itself, two light-trap monitoring events took place: one at the Scroll of Fire Monument in the Jerusalem Hills, and the other at Rakit Campground on Mount Carmel. Dozens of participants joined these events, enjoying both the excitement of the experience and fascinating moth observations.
How many observations were reported this year? Which species were recorded? What were the highlights? Find out in the full summary.
